Communications and Public Affairs Internship Opportunities With The American Red Cross

The American Red Cross Communications and Public Affairs team is now accepting applications for 2015 Spring internships.

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies through the help of volunteers and the generosity of donors. The Communications and Public Affairs team is tasked with telling the stories of those affected, as well as delivering the message of the American Red Cross to the local community.

The Communications and Public Affairs internship for college level students will expose students to a fast-paced environment. Interns will have networking opportunities, introductions to media partners, public affairs disaster response training, project management, and will participate in event planning. There are also opportunities for interns to focus their public relations efforts on a specific line of service such as Service to the Armed Forces,  Blood Services or other special projects.

Internships will run from from January to May for Spring semester, May to August for Summer, and August to December for Fall. These are unpaid internships with a commitment to 12-15 hours per week.

For more information or to apply, email Lloyd Ziel at lloyd.ziel@redcross.org or call (702) 369-3351.

Please include resume, cover letter, and writing/design samples.
