In a rare opportunity, the Southern Nevada chapter of the American Red Cross is offering our introduction to International Humanitarian Law for FREE to those who’d like to attend.
In a world where warfare and civil strife are a daily reality for millions, international humanitarian law provides a framework for protection for civilians and combatants alike. Learn about the body of rules and principles that seeks to limit the conduct of war and protect the victims of armed conflict, and the unique role of the Red Cross on behalf of victims of war.
Attend a free four-hour introductory course, Humanity in the Midst of War, and learn about the Geneva Conventions by engaging in hands-on activities and thought-provoking discussions, while exploring the powerful and fundamental concept of human dignity in wartime.
