Charleston and the Spring Mountains National Recreational Area… is a treasure, enjoyed by 1.2 million visitors every year… an extraordinary amount of hard work, dedication, and cooperation on the part of firefighters, citizen volunteers and personnel from many public agencies, nonprofit organizations and local businesses resulted in successful containment of this fire…. recognize and thank The American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter for protecting the lives and property of our residents and providing an invaluable service to our community.”
