Clark County Commissioners Recognize Southern Nevada Red Cross

The Red Cross was one of a number of organizations recognized by the Clark County Commissioners today for work on the Carpenter 1 fire. Southern Nevada Red Cross CEO Scott Emerson spoke about our relationships with first responders and the help of our community partners all being elemental parts of Red Cross Disaster Response.

Scott was presented with a Proclamation from the County that read in part:

“… it is the policy and pleasure of the Board of County Commissioners to honor and recognize those who provide a great service to our community… Mt. Charleston and the Spring Mountains National Recreational Area… is a treasure, enjoyed by 1.2 million visitors every year… an extraordinary amount of hard work, dedication, and cooperation on the part of firefighters, citizen volunteers and personnel from many public agencies, nonprofit organizations and local businesses resulted in successful containment of this fire…. recognize and thank The American Red Cross Southern Nevada Chapter for protecting the lives and property of our residents and providing an invaluable service to our community.”
