Red Cross of Southern Nevada and World Refugee Day

Southern Nevada Red Cross volunteers will be representing us at a couple upcoming events recognizing World Refugee Day. We will be talking about our international program “Reuniting Family Links” for families who’ve been separated by disaster or conflict.

On Saturday, June 16, we’ll be providing refreshments at the Catholic Charities observation of the day from 10am to 1pm. The event, held at the Lied Discovery Children’s Museum, will have a health and information fair, free admission to the museum, music, arts and crafts, and gifts for the children. To attend, please RSVP by JUNE 14 to 702-383-8387.

The other event coming up will feature our own CEO Scott Emerson speaking, as well as our volunteers spreading the word of “Reuniting Family Links.” It will be on Wednesday, June 20th and will be organized  by the ECDC-African Community Center, at the United Methodist Church (4412 S Maryland Parkway) from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m.

So come on out and support these great recognition efforts that shine a light on such an important day.
